Q. Describe the usage of rm –r* command in redhat Linux / unix ?
A. $rm –r* will remove all the file entries in the current directory. 
It is not advisable to use this command in real time production server environment. many files which are necessary to be accessed by other users and these files may require to use.

Q. What is symbolic link in redhat Linux?
A. The second name of a file is called a link, it’s assigned to create another link to the current file in windows as we create shortcut icons at desktop from inside the drive like here also we can set the links in redhat Linux systems.

Q. What is absolute path and relative path in Unix / redhat Linux ?
A. Absolute path refers to the path starting from the root directory and the path continues with a sequence starting from root(#).
Whereas relative path is the current path.


Q. How can I check the system IP in redhat Linux ?
A. type hostname command or else you can use #ifconfig to know the all IP Addresses of the Machine usaully eth0 is the by default first Lan port ip in Many Linux distributions.
